Mikel W. Cole, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Language, Literacy, and Culture at Clemson University. His research centers around emergent bilingual students and specific areas of interest include: effective instruction approaches, culturally-sustaining pedagogies, teacher preparation to work with linguistically and culturally diverse students, and educational language policy.
